tbh salary measurement is probably one of the most complicated / subjective / difficult parts of setting up the league. there's no way everyone's going to be happy with their measurement and there's no chance of getting every person right. however, it does obviously have a huge impact on your likelihood of being able to even play at all. being overpriced means you are very unlikely to be picked, and being undervalued means you're very likely to get picked. it sounds nice to say that all free agents should work on improvement so they can be perceived as outperforming their salaries, but depending on the situation that can be unrealistic.
