The all white burns my eyes after a couple minutes.

It's fine for me, but I always have my monitor at around 20% brightness, so I guess that doesn't count

You guys intentionally trying to focus on simplicity or is this just the way the site ended up? I have some suggestions (somewhat from marketing perspective and from my own research I did for making my own personal site) if the intent is not to focus on simplicity.

Of course, if you prefer this type of simplicity, I understand.
