UT4 CTF SHOWMATCH (October 4th, 2015)

Dear OwnedWellians,

I am pleased to announce our first official adventure into the world of UT4 in 2015. We will be starting off with a UT4 Weapons CTF exhibition game this Sunday at 3pm EST and streaming it to the OwnedWell Twitch channel. http://www.twitch.tv/ownedwell

This exhibition game will be the appetizer to our FACTIONS main course being served up on October 18th. Signups will open this Sunday and tournament details will be unveiled to the public.




Two captains, a player pool and twelve players selected and divided up between the two teams. The two captains will be xi0s and cafe and we will flip a coin to see who will be red captain and who will be blue captain.

The maplist will be comprised of five maps and the two teams may end up duking it out on all of them as they play a bo5.

We will be using the OwnedWell East Coast NA server for the first wave of events however European players are more than welcome to participate. We will be adding a European hub and hosting EU competitions in the near future.

Is there an anticheat for UT4 yet? Pretty sure it is even easier to cheat in UT4 than UT.

No AC for UT4 yet or at least I'm 99% sure there isn't. But really, I believe the players playing the upcoming showmatch and factions later on have some dignity.

UPDATE: Teams will be picked in #OwnedWell. If you are interested in playing, show up a touch earlier than 3PM.. Something like 2:30pm EST would be real dandy.

Good luck to someone who 'cheats' in pre alpha ctf matches. I don't even think it would make a difference in a game tbh, unless it was a blatant aimbot, which would make no sense.

most/all of the people in the showmatch are lan proven anyway. who fucking cares. like, i've had beers with most of these people. they're not cheating at an online video game.
