A potential 1v1 tournament is on the horizon for both Europe and North America. Chances are that the map selection will be different per region, but a while back me and mintek made some slight modifications to some maps. Personally, I am strongly in favor of having these maps implemented into competitive play.
EDIT: This isn't my tournament nor has this been decided. It's simply a discussion on if we should use maps with improved spawns. For example, is seven spawns next to a shield belt a good thing or bad thing? Discuss.
EDIT 2: It should also be known that the vast majority of spawns stayed in the same spots. If they were moved, it was by a matter of feet.
The minor map tweaks include:
Codex-GUDM (deleted two spawns underneath armor, kept the spawn by shock lift).
Agony-GUDM (modified from the MLDM version with has less vial density and deleted several spawns by shield belt).
Malevolence-GUDM (moved spawns in the middle of rooms into more discreet corners)
Deck-GUDM (reduced sniper ammo by 50%).
Spheres-GUDM (Sezco needed music added to the map).
Major map tweaks.
Curse-GUDM (added an armor room, moved vials to bottom, deleted bad lift spawn, moved thighpads).
Turbine-GUDM (sealed off entire flak area, deleted most water spawns, moved belt to bridge, move armor to old belt location, moved thighpads to top vent).
Other maps:
Phobos-MLDM (same version played in MLDM).
DM-Terra (heavily play tested, final version has 2 portals).
Potential map tweaks:
DM-Liandri (ph34r has suggested deleting entire sniper stairs, moving vials to bottom of map, putting sniper in redeemer room and switching shock/pulse. Spawn tweaks would also be ideal). This map in its current state has proven to be poor for 1v1 (MLDM Div1 and Div2 are prime examples of that).
Feel free to play test these maps and give your opinion.
