I'm fairly (like 99%) sure i played a mod with lightsabres (and iirc other cool "realistic" firearms) when i was playing via dialup so i'm guessing somewhere around 2000/2001. Wish i could recall the name of the mod... Still a cool idea and i remember playing ut99 with different weapons was a nice gimmick.

Copy the sword from Chaos mod, edit the mod and replace it with light saber mod from DM-DarthThane map or any other lightsaber mod around or even make one, edit texture and sound and compile. If want more than that, edit the code to have the mod to do more than just regular chaos sword/lightsaber fights.
