cpu speed

Postby KillEmAll » Sat Jan 02, 2016 1:15 pm

Quick question. Why does the measured still show 3.2ghz when I am clocked at 4.0ghz? The reported is because I added the cpuspeed command at startup.
What is the best thing to do?

Do you have power saver activated? It is possible that since UT doesn't use many resources, cpu stays in power saving mode. Use a program that monitors your core speed in real time..

Many things out there for it such as afterburner.. there is also resource monitor in Windows.. I use http://www.hwinfo.com/

See what you get.. try different cpu intensive applications too such as prime32 while monitoring

see if speed step is disabled. also go download cpu-z and see in realtime what the clock speed is.
