I always love these threads even if we've had them before because I'm constantly upgrading my setup. Here's the latest! Main gaming rig is on the left, craptop and secondary (streaming/rendering) rig are on the right.

All told there is definitely $3000+ worth of equipment / furniture there, but much of it I bought over the past several years or at a significant discount. I was able to get several of the higher priced components on sale (Black Friday deals ftw) or from online friends for very cheap. I bought the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and SDD from a former Battlefield teammate for less than half what they all cost retail, and he also sold me the center 27" monitor for less than half. Below is a breakdown of what's in the main rig and what each piece would typically cost retail.

Case: Cooler Master Elite 431+ ($55)
CPU: i7-3770K ($350)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H55 Hydro ($60)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO ($425)
RAM: 8GB G.SKILL Ripjaws ($60)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 680 ($240)
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 240GB ($230)
HDD1: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ($50)
PSU: EVGA 600B ($60)
Mouse: Steelseries Rival ($60)
Mousepad: SteelSeries QcK+ ($18)
Keyboard: Logitech G710+ ($100)
Headphones: HyperX Cloud II ($100)
Microphone: Audio-Technica AT2035 ($150)
Mic Stand: NEEWER Suspension Boom Arm ($20)
Mixer: Behringer Q802USB 8-Channel ($80)
Webcam: Logitech C920 1080p ($80)
Monitor1: ASUS VG278HE 27" 144Hz ($375)
Monitor2/3: ViewSonic VX2268wm 22" 120Hz @ 1680x1050 ($150 x2)

~$2813 total

The desk I bought on sale at Office Max, the craptop is a free hand-me-down from my dad (dude, it's a Dell) and the 120Hz monitor for my second rig was a Christmas gift. Most of the second rig is built from leftover components I kept after upgrading as well. I've definitely spent a significant amount on this setup myself, but I've also been working on it since I moved into this house ~6 years ago.

Now if you want to see what a real baller setup looks like, check out Hiko's streaming setup in the pictures below. The monitors and monitor stand alone are probably worth more than my entire setup. :o

Wow! After seeing some of your setups, I won't even post mine. You would die laughing at it.

If I ever get a halfway decent job, I will upgrade everything from PC to desk.

Very nice stuff, m3ss! :o

@reflex: Mmmmmm, jalapeno chips. I see you're also a fan of clear desks.

@blackout: Mini-fridge ftw! I need one! I also like the speaker stands on the edge of your desk. Nice touch!

@blade: No worries man, it all has to start somewhere! I remember rockin' the thirty pound Dell CRT running on a potato PC with a $10 microsoft intellimouse.

@aby0u: What a clean looking setup! Really nice! I could never go all white because it would constantly be dirty. xD

@uenz: Is that an ottoman under your desk? You filthy casual.

Wow I'm in love with abyzou's setup :o It's so white and pristine.

I also like the idea of having a pouf like uenz instead of a desk chair!

I bought a new computer about a month ago:

CPU: I5 4440 3.1ghz,
GFX: Nvidia gtx 750 TI 2gb,
RAM: 8gb ddr3,
WD 1TB 7200rpm + Seagate 1TB external + another Seagate 500gb external

Monitor:
Acer S240HLBID 24-inch Monitor 16:9 FHD LED 5 ms 100M:1 A DVI w/HDCP HDMI Acer EcoDisplay

Mouse:
An old microsoft comfort 3000

It was a huge upgrade from a 10 year old computer, it was like driving an old van, then getting into a Ferrari

Just an example:
OLD pC: UT99 face ~90 fps 800x640 everything low
NEw PC: UT99 face ~1700fps 1920x1080 high settings(Limiter off)

Can't really get a good pic, just moved house everything i in the way stll.

I'll update this thread in a month after I move to my new place. Current apartment is a bit cramped and it doesn't do my setup justice.
