Why you should play TAM

I've played around 7 pugs or so in #tampugs so far and I really enjoy it. UT2k4 isn't a massive transition from UT99, and you'll learn fast if you put a little time in. The channel is a rare combination of friendly and competitive, with a laid back atmosphere.

Also, depending on what happens, some full (2 map) pugs end in less than 30 mins. Some of the 2k4 players thought I was weird for taking 8 mins to join server/ts, since it's more customary for them to join right away.

i played a few pugs yesterday and today. It's a fun mod, games start quick and I agree that the 2k4 players in general have all been really cool. Try it out!

Thanks for the plug RJ! The video does a great job of showing off what UT2k4 can be although in TAM you most likely won't see that as the enemy doesn't respawn until the next round. Rev, Triangle, Rummy and other 99ers have transitioned very well and hopefully more of you come over.

If you guys get the hang of this and we get to know you, maybe some of us will come play 99. I personally watched the sDOM twitch streams and thought about possibly joining the next league in 99. ..Hopefully this is more of a positive than a deterrent.

@Lineage, there is a line in the ut2004.ini for max resolution and you can set it there. PM me if you need help. I use 1920x1080.

played couple of games yesterday and didn't notice any ping issues (germany ping of ~120/130) from my pov to participate in this game. Shock combos were still doable for me.
Time to learn the maps!
