Thanks for the support guys! The event was a bit of a mess (get it?!) but ultimately I had a good time and it was cool meeting the players I didn't get to meet at CEVO LAN. I think with some work and better preparation Clutch Con will be a pretty awesome event if they do decide to have it again.

How was the event from your point of view m3ss? From a stream watching PoV it was a complete shambles!

It was a mess for sure (pun intended). Network/power/internet outages. MLG stream network and ad issues. Computers crashing left and right. Players/admins getting sick. Random drum and dragon dance during matches (due to initial delays causing the overlap). It really was a comedy of errors. The computer crashes weren't really their fault, but they didn't have enough backups to deal with the constant crashes. It was a combination of inadequate lead time, a bit of poor planning, and some shitty luck. It's a shame because it really could have been an amazing event barring these issues. The venue was cool, there were plenty of great teams there, and Denver is a fun city. I hope people give them another chance because they've acknowledged they kind of screwed the pooch and are open to feedback on how to improve. We'll see though.

From what i've heard they did pay out in 1 dollar bills, easy when they intended to make it rain at the stripclubs after!

Yeah, for some reason Liquid got paid in a giant stack of ones so it looked like they were drug dealers. Pretty funny photo op though.

Haha! I wish! I'll probably still cast some for CEVO so maybe you'll see me at future CEVO LANs, but now that they're partnered with MLG they'll likely outsource casters like they did for the X-Games event.
