I am impressed with the effort being shown in clearing one's name and reputation, especially on the notion that this game is going on 16 years of age. S-I-X-T-E-E-N Y-E-A-R-S. #fml.

If only the effort of reviewing countless amounts of demos, holding meetings, developing maps, pugging, building up an owned well "community", hosting live streams, creating graphics, creating NEWNET, writing novel posts of predictions/recaps/player bios, etc. etc. was actually molded into an effort of BUILDING an actual anti-cheat system or even deconstructing an existing one, all these cases would become a moot point. Sure, coding something for a 16 year old game, against cheating nonetheless, seems silly, but yet we are all still here.

Anyways...

With that said, I enjoyed playing with this guy, especially on our epic boost 10 second cap base to base (High), with rummy as the flag runner, to send the game into OT and eventually win the game on bleak. Brought immediate chuckles (especially from Rummy), and fun to this ancient game.

there been many hard calls and demos over the past years..last years of clanbase too.
But fallacy was one of the easiest ones to catch ..at least for myself.
there are still some activ people on ACT with a good knowledge. u guys shouldnt forget about this.

Still inconclusive. I'd still like to see Fallacy go to Pete's house or something and put up the numbers he does (or someone well versed in computing to go to Fallacy's house and watch him play, monitoring everything carefully). It wouldn't necessarily prove he didn't cheat before, but if the demos created in those tests produce the same results as seen by the ACT, it is fairly reliable evidence to the contrary.

Sauron, this is the problem, fallacy has volunteered many times to go to admins house or they come to him, to watch and spec him play in person. But the admins didn't take up the offer for who knows what reasons. He has offered many players, not just admins of gu. They don't seem interested though.

demos are and will always be too inconclusive lol ACT did amazing on watching all these demos but it is a pointless endeavor lol i would be a hypocrite to not say that demos are close to nothing on such a speedy game. I am the living proof of that. Some people that posted here also said my clips were beyond human capability and yet i'm not a cyborg (that would be cool tho)

I agree though there are easy cases but i highly doubt fallacy was that easy and even though i did not watch any clips i can say i would always give him the benefit of the doubt and this being a small game and since you faggots have access to him, let him redeem himself and see if he is capable of performing like that on your PC.

i don't like fallacy, but he came to play 2k4 a while back and his aim immediately translated (shooting ~45% shock primary/sniper) while he was learning game dynamics and weapons CTF.

I think this is a strong indicator of whether or not somebody cheats. If they're good at video games across the board or just UT. Fallacy is also a very good CS player. I suppose it's possible that somebody could be cheating in every game they play if they're cheating in UT but it doesn't seem that plausible. I give props to the ACT team for investing the amount of time they do to help keep this game clean, and I think flaming them or calling them idiots is extremely out of line, but I don't think they got it right in this instance.

Being good at other games isn't much of an indicator of anything. Nobody denies that Fallacy was a good player before the cheating scandal, just like heltah and blackout. It's not surprising that he's good at other games. Plenty of convicted cheaters were/are great gamers in general.

PS. Shooting 45% shock/lg in newnet 2k4 isn't super special. When I installed the game for the first time, I popped in xios' config, hopped in a TAM server and had 40% lg in my first game ever, with random mouse settings etc. You have big, floaty brightskin models and it registers even if you don't hit the player model directly.

CS is not a good example anyway. Everyone can be ranked supreme master or to the very least, legendary eagle.

What makes Fallacy guilty is probably that there are a lot of demos like the bleak one. A consistency of this move would make anybody very suspicious.
You can maybe explain one of them... but what if you have like 20 clips of that?

I asked a member of the admin team what I could possibly do to help get vitz off my back when this all started to go down because I was tired of being harassed by him on a daily basis for no reason. After a night of him bashing me more than usual this was suggested and I decided it wouldn't hurt. Too bad there are still a handful of close minded individuals who think what I do is impossible even when the proof is preaented right to them.

I get it though, it's easier to just leave me banned than actually admit to being wrong and having everyone question their abilities.
