Mouse Bungees?

Postby Blue_Armature » Thu Jan 08, 2015 8:56 pm

Anyone here have one/have tried them? I noticed the cord of my mouse is rubbing on the mouse pad and creating a lot of inconsistent friction. Wondering if I should get one of these, this one is pretty cheap for example: http://www.amazon.com/Mouse-Bungee-Mana ... 380&sr=8-1

Do these work for low sensitivity? Mine is like 40cm/360 on a 15" wide mouse pad, would the little spring things even swivel that far? I'm hoping it would at least stop the annoying grinding and friction of the cord.

I use a mouse bungee similar to that one. I have

I use a very slow sens in UT and pretty much every game and it works fine. Rubber feet on the bottom have worn away but that's probably due to having it for so long and constantly moving it around. Other than that I highly recommend getting one.

No friction. I have some of the cord resting on the mouse pad because I'm not really a big fan of the bending aspect of this bungee. It's a cool feature but in certain situations I've run into it can cause issues or limit movement. Having the extra cord hanging down doesn't give me any problems and the bungee still serves what it was designed to do.

I'm using a USB HD as a mouse bungee; a bungee is usefull wether you make one or buy one.

I have been using this one for the past 6-8 years on my logitech g5 and my logitech g5 is still in 100% working condition... went through two other g5's previously that both died after about a year and a half of use...this last g5 I used the cord management and knock on wood, my mouse still works.

Highly recommend a cord management for any of your mice, they extend the life of your mouse ten-fold.

Wow, I didn't know people spent money on bungees.. wtf.

Just use a tissue roll or even a book.. Put the cord on some page in a thick book. I can give so many other alternative ideas. You're set. Not worth wasting money on one :OWfacepalm:

(btw I just circulate it down the back of my table and keep it in place with a stack of 3 magazines. Gets the job done)

A single zip-tie loosely attached to the DVI cable suits the job nicely for my needs. I have a measured amount of cord, enough to reach the far bottom corner of my mouse pad. The cord slack rests in a coil which then leads to my pc. No drag, no tugging. Smoooooth

I have one and it has helped me. I could've taped the cord to desk and what-not but then two-three years ago I just decided to go for a bungee instead. It has served me well thus far. No complains.

If the wire ran on the right side i'd nail a tac to my desk but like this it's kinda jammed between that mouse mat and my monitor

it runs for about 10" straight then i use a right angle bend and then hold it with something, anything more than the wire would drag or get pulled, less and i wouldn't be able to do full movement without needing to tug/pull on it

Image

using a bungee is fine, but it's not the only thing to consider
