Anthrax is basically the word of god as far as UT is concerned. Read through that if you have issues with frame rate and you may be able to pin down your own issue.

If you don't use Direct Input and have Precache on you will get that bug starting UT. Do what RickJames suggested and it will fix that.

I have horrible screentearing ... makes it sometimes impossible to see smtn ... i use a benq xl2420t 120hz ... got a nvidia geforce gtx 260 graphics card.
and it doesnt come from the ut.ini ... i checked and testet everything.

if you have a fix or some suggestions, please let me know.

So I tried setting the frame limit with RivaTuner like you suggested in some other topic Rootsoft, but I'm still getting stuttering on some servers. Some don't have it, but some do. For example iPug PlayHouse has it. It seems to be better than when I limited FPS through UT, but still annoying.

I already tried different FPS caps, highperftoggle on/off, netspeed 10000, 11000, 11xxx, 20000, 15000, and probably others. Anything else you can think of to try?

Tip for mirc users.
If you don't like dark background but still wanna see LBot trash talking then
change default colors (right click on it).
Don't mess with classic theme. Create new one.
